Murals

I paint on anything that will hold paint -- paper, canvas, walls, ceilings, floors, doors, kitchen cabinets, furniture ... with watercolors, oils, acrylics, latex, anything that has pigment. It's something I do by the hour, happily loosing myself in the images I flatter myself to think I create. When I paint, in whatever medium on whatever surface, I move into my own imagination and sometimes the imaginations of others.

The first mural I painted was on my son's bedroom wall and ceiling. It was a life size autumn maple tree. When I retired the first time, I started painting for other people as well as myself. An oil painting for over the sofa here, refinishing tired old kitchen cabinets there, the base of a poolside bar, the bathrooms, living rooms, kitchens, and finally, my own studio.
